Abstract:
The Environment Agency aims to provide appropriate flood defences and flood warning systems to protect people and property against flooding including the coastal areas of Southern Region. These tide tables have been produced to help ensure that flood defences can be operated to reduce the risk of flooding and to assist in forecasting flood events. These tide tables have been produced for the Environment Agency, in conjunction with Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory. Locations shown in this document are: Southampton, Portsmouth, Lymington, Yarmouth, Cowes, Ryde, Chichester, Littlehampton, Shoreham, Newhaven, Eastbourne, Harbour of Rye, Dover and Sheerness.
