Abstract:
This is the Environment Agency's second review of water companies' drought plans. Ministers have asked the water companies of England and Wales to develop and maintain drought plans. These show how the companies will manage water supplies during periods of drought. Ministers have asked the Environment Agency to review these plans every three years. The first report on water company drought plans was published in June 2000.
