Abstract:
This report presents progress of the project from the period March to April 1992. A literature review, comments on work to date, overall progress and expenditure are contained in this report. The overall objective of the project is to develop guidelines for the rehabilitation of existing NRA coastal structures. The project is to be carried out in two phases, phase one will assess available literature and produce an assessment of the scope required from the project and the subject areas it should cover. During phase one we will identify major faults threatening failure of sea defence structures and identify solutions. We will also work to compile to proposed Guide to the rehabilitation of sea defence structures. Phase two will be assessed following Project definition study and will be put to competitive tender.
