Abstract:
This document provides a strategic overview to the further development of the Anglian Region Telemetry System. The key section is the business case, which will be used by MAFF to appraise the overall project and which will underpin the Engineers Repons or Project Initiation Documents for each phase. The objective of the ARTS project is to provide an integrated telemetry and flow forecasting system to support all of the NRA's core functions. The business case concludes that this should be achieved by the development of a flow forecast modelling system and the installation of 223 additional outstations, including 26 which require the construction of new or improved gauging stations.
