Author: Environment Agency North East Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
In August 1997 the Ridings Area launched the consultation report for the Hull and East Riding LEAP area. This and the other LEAPs for the constituent parts of the North East Region will represent a shared vision for the future and will contribute to the complete coverage of England and Wales by such plans. The Hull and East Riding LEAP covers an area of some 2170km2 stretching from Flamborough Head to Spurn Point along the coast and including the Market Weighton Canal and River Foulness to the west. The major centres of population are Hull, Driffield, Beverley, Market Weighton and Hedon with seasonal tourist centres at Bridlington, Hornsea, Withernsea and Skipsea.
