Total phosphorus

Definition (

Total phosphorus incorporates the total of all filterable and particulate phosphorus forms mentioned above. It is probably the most often analyzed fraction of phosphorus because it is used in a wide variety of empirical models relating phosphorus to a wide variety of limnological variables; and the link between phosphorus loading estimates and phosphorus content in the lake.
