Saprolegniales

An order of the Oomycetes containing some 32 genera and about 200 species of aquatic, mainly saprobic, fungi (e.g. Saprolegnia), often with *diplanetic zoospores. Some are parasitic on fish, e.g. S. parasitica, which often attacks salmon and goldfish. (Dictionary of Botany)
