How to Order

Books may be ordered either on our online shop or by post, fax or telephone. This page describes how to order by post, fax or telephone.
 
A copy of the current catalogue and order form may be downloaded from below (in Acrobat format). Both can also be obtained by contacting the FBA. Prices are correct from 1 May 2012, but may be changed without notice. FBA Members are eligible for a 25% discount on every copy of each publication ordered, except where stated otherwise (e.g. posters, facsimile reprints): please complete the appropriate box on the order form.

Postage

Postage is charged at the following rates:

Although books are normally dispatched within a week of receiving your order, sometimes this takes longer, so please allow 30 days for dispatch. Orders are dispatched by Royal Mail second class/parcel post within the UK (expected delivery time 3-5 working days), Air Mail for the rest of Europe (expected delivery time 3-5 working days), and surface mail for outside of Europe (expected delivery time up to 6-12 weeks). Alternative delivery arrangements (e.g. First Class mail within the UK, or Air Mail outside of Europe) may be arranged upon request at extra cost.

Payment

Remittances should be by:

Cheque drawn on a UK bank (£ Sterling only, made payable to "The Freshwater Biological Association");

OR Visa/Mastercard/Maestro.

For customers wishing instead to pay by bank transfer, details can be obtained by contacting the FBA at publications@fba.org.uk. If the bank transfer is from a bank outside the UK, an additional amount of £6.00 per order is payable, to cover bank charges.

For further information on any particular publication, please contact the FBA. Unless stated otherwise: Scientific and Occasional Publications (SPs and OPs) are A5 printed booklets, perfect bound or stapled between soft covers; Special Publications (SPECs) and those by other publishers ('Affiliate' Publications) are various formats, up to A4 in size, bound between soft covers. Freshwater Forum is A5 in size and is stapled or perfect bound between soft covers.

The FBA regrets that it is unable to send books "On Approval" or on a "Return if No Sale" basis.
