The Environment Agency and FBA have worked together to make freshwater information accessible. This website contains several thousand Environment Agency grey literature reports and documents that have been catalogued by the Data and Information team at the FBA.

What is grey literature?

Grey literature is the term used for published documents - often reports - that are not published commercially as monographs or journals, for example. This often makes these documents difficult to find and copies of them quite rare. Because grey literature is often comprised of technical reports these documents can be very rich in lots of useful data.
