Abstract:
The Environment Agency operates a flood warning service in areas at risk of flooding from rivers or the sea, and maintains and operates flood defences. These tide tables have been produced to help ensure that flood defences are operated to reduce the risk of flooding and assist in forecasting flood events. This report shows tide tables of Southampton to Sheerness, under the EA Southern Region, of the year 2004. The areas shown in the tables are: Southampton; Portsmouth; Lymington; Yarmouth; Cowes; Ryde; Chichester; Littlehampton; Shoreham; Newhaven; Eastbourne; Harbour of Rye; Dover; and Sheerness. These tide tables have been produced for the Environment Agency, in conjunction with the Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory.
