Title: Agreeing access to water for canoeing
Author: Environment Agency
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
This guide is designed to help riparian owners, fishery owners, fishery occupiers and canoeists to draw up such agreements, taking account of all relevant interests on or adjacent to the waters concerned. It will also help others providing and managing access to water, such as local authorities and the Environment Agency. The guide focuses on the process of securing agreements, and what they should contain. It gives practical advice and highlights best practice in existing access agreements. Its principles could easily be extended to include other users of manually propelled craft.
