This is the 1947 River Lee Floods 50 years on report from the Environment Agency published circa 1997. The report focuses on the 50th anniversary of one of the River Lee's most damaging floods. This booklet describes what happened, the damage that was caused and what has since been done to alleviate the effects of flooding. The booklet also contains historical and reference material regarding the nature of flooding generally, the River Lee's flood history specifically, who has been responsible for managing the river and the future of flood management issues in the Lee Valley.
