Title: Greenhouse effect : current knowledge and implications for South West England
Author: University of Exeter
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
This NRA report describes greenhouse effect. The effectiveness of greenhouse gases in regulating the climatic system varies depending upon the rate of change in emissions and their roles in the climatic system. The main greenhouses gases which are considered to be of concern are: CO2, CH4 (Methane), CFCs (usually grouped under CFC-11 and CFC-12), O3 and N20 (often grouped generally as NOx). Each of these trace gases or groups of trace gases affect climate in different ways but their effect is generally estimated in terms of radiative forcing.
