Author: National Rivers Authority South West Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
The River Plym drains a catchment area to the east of Plymouth and the Tamar and shares a joint estuary. There is significant impoundment and abstraction in the headwaters but a healthy fish population. The aims of the plan are to improve fish stocks to pre-1980 levels, extend the range of salmon spawning, ensure healthy fish production is maintained, achieve water quality objectives, review water abstraction arrangements and enforce pollution and-water resources legislation.
