Abstract:
This report attempts to assess the nature, availability and extent of data and information relating to the River Glen and its catchment. The River Glen, incorporating the Rivers East and West Glen and a lower section below their confluence downstream to the confluence with the River Welland, supports a wide variety of invertebrate habitat types from fast flowing, gravel-bed reaches to slow flowing, fenland drains. This annex contains sections focused on: rainfall data; streamflow data; abstractions; effluents; water quality data (including invertebrate sampling, habitat surveys and fisheries surveys); land use data; land drainage; channel capital works and maintenance; geological and groundwater data.
