Abstract:
The River Nar is a small chalk stream tributary of the lower Great Ouse, in Norfolk. Part of its length is an SSSI, and it is known both for its rich aquatic plant community and for its dragonfly fauna. A preliminary study was carried out in February 1993 to ascertain the biological value of the invertebrate communities along the whole length of the river and certain tributaries.
