Cam and Ely Ouse catchment

Medium-sized (904km2) catchment in the centre of the Anglian River Basin District. The River Wissey in Norfolk rises near East Bradenham and flows westwards for 50km before joining the Great Ouse south of Downham Market. Land-use is predominantly agricultural but there are centres of population and industry in the main towns of Swaffham and Watton. The catchment comprises ten surface and two lake water bodies, and also forms part of the Cam & Ely Ouse Chalk groundwater body. (CCM)
